We can order things from the web site right at the store and you can pay for it and it gets shipped to you. Now, they want our focus to be on Web sales. This has been especially awful because for the last decade, what you see is what we have available. Great right? Except they decided preowned should be crammed in drawers and equally not displayed. Someone decided to stop gutting new games in favor of display cases. But, theoretically, I could have ZERO of the displayed games, yet have 50-100 undisplayed games. So every game case on the wall reflects the top 100-150 best sellers.
Second, in some crazy twist of fate, Gamestop decided that "browsing" for games shouldn't exist. This way we can let customers go thru them, supervised by us. My store keeps XB360 games on one side of the cashwrap game drawers, and Wii/ds/3ds/PS3 games on the opposite end. But as others have said, the cases go bye bye almost immediately. Most stores do have DS/3DS games in the glass case still.
First, all Wii, Wii U, PS3, XB360, and Vita games have mostly been removed from actually being on display. Ok so as a GS employee, I can let you know what's up.
